Stewart and Gracie are two cardinal birds. They live on a tiny island, in the middle of a lake, underneath a fir tree. Stewart and Gracie love the Halloween season. Every year they invite all their neighbors around the lake to come to their house for a Pumpkin Hat Party. At the party everyone makes their own special hat to put on their pumpkins.

My niece Anna Young, who is 11 years old, came up with all the names of Stewart and Gracie's friends. And she illustrated all of the beautiful pictures for the book.
