emergencies are a fact of life in dentistry. We attempt to balance the need for emergencies to be seen and helped with the right of scheduled patients to have our full attention for their previously scheduled care. Several suggestions can be made concerning emergencies:

1.

Keep up your preventive care in the practice. This drastically reduces the likelihood of having an emergency occur, as well as demonstrating a commitment to routine care that enhances our quick response to your problem.

2.

Call early in the day; this allows our team to more efficiently place you in the schedule that day. Late day calls oftentimes must be deferred to the next day.

3.

Give the Team detailed information about your problem; this will help them attend to your needs. Also please be patient with the Team member assisting you; they are doing their best for you under sometimes trying circumstances.

4.

We assume that if you are having a serious dental emergency, you will be present for treatment at any time during the day that we can see you amongst our other scheduled patients. If you desire to be scheduled with your work or personal schedule in mind, we will be delighted to do so. However, the emergency will necessarily lose its immediacy, and we will locate the first available jointly convenient time.

If you have a dental emergency when the office is not open, please call your personal doctor's cell phone or callour office and get the cell phone number of the Doctor on call. Numbers are listed below. If the call cannot be taken personally, leave a message in the Doctor's voice mail system. The Doctor will return your call as soon as possible. If you are made aware that your personal Doctor will be unavailable for some time, please contact one of the other Doctor's for help. The Emergency Room is available for cases of acute trauma or extreme pain. However, they will not render dental care - such as fillings or appliance repairs - on an emergency basis.
If your Doctor is away for an extended period, a message will refer you to the office during normal working hours, the other Doctor's homes, or an outside Doctor who is helping cover during that period.
