How to Use Salicylic Acid in Skincare

In 1838 an Italian chemist, Raffaele Piria, led the way for the use of salicylic acid in skincare. Using Extracts from the bark of the willow tree, he created a potion that became the main ingredient for home medicine.

The magic potion soon became popular in the Roman Empire. However, its supernatural elements still impact us today.  The acid continues to be a natural chemical, used by scientists in skincare laboratories.
